Can I Just Get ONE COMMENT???

OK, so I haven't posted anything in 6 months. Who cares? I've never received a comment on my blog - that I can recall anyway. Guess I'm not an interesting person. At least not in the land of blogs.

So, here's the latest news of my exciting life:

Still un(der)employed. I have a part time gig driving the kiddie train at Town Center Mall. It's a blast, but I'm doing good to get 18 hours a week.

Still homeless. Had to give up my apartment in Rome. I will certainly miss it there, and I will miss all the great friends that I've made over the last few years. I will miss the traffic (or lack thereof).

Until I get some decent income flowing, I'm dependent upon others to keep me out of a cardboard box under the bridge. I HATE being in this situation. However ...

I'm above ground. As bad as life may seem, I am still alive and kicking, and refuse to give up faith that things will get better again.

I'm blessed with adorable Grandchildren! A lot of people get all uptight about getting older. I admit, my body is starting to look and feel like an antique, and my mind does 'slip' a little, but there is no greater joy than having Grandkids!

Maybe I will post here more often - I just added BlogWriter Lite to my iTouch & now I can post from the palm of my hand!!!!

PS to Last Post

I forgot to include links:

Connect Rome

Heritage Baptist Church in Cartersville

Any while I'm at it, here's another photo. Recognize anyone?

Connect Rome

aka Church In A Bar, Connect Rome is a fresh new church that just started up recently in Rome, GA. Since I am currently unable to drive, and unable to attend MY church (Heritage Baptist in Cartersville), I decided last Sunday to visit. To put things bluntly, this bunch has something going on. No need to dress up. Doors open at 10:30 am on Sunday and the worship starts at 11:00 am. There's coffee and other beverages to enjoy. The music is great, and Josh is an exciting and effective speaker/pastor who delivered a great message in both of the services I've attended. On his blog, you can read more about today's worship. My favorite part today was the mannequin. I'm can't describe the symbolism very well without preaching the entire sermon, guess you just had to be there! My best description would be "God's Mercy forgives us for being broken, and his Grace puts us back together, piece by piece."

Newly 2 Years Later . . .

. . . here I am back on Blogger.  Oh my how much has happened and changed since my last post.  Not likely that I will replicate things by posting here often, since I am now hooked on Twitter and Facebook.  My how things have changed in the last couple of decades.  If my Daddy had ever seen the likes of a widescreen HDTV (LCD or Plasma) - I'd love to see his 1st expression!!!  After God and Family, his TV was his most prized possession.  Miss ya Dad.  Of course Mom never had any control over the TV (at least she let him believe that).  Miss ya Mom. Anyway, for those that know me, look me up on Facebook.

A Year and 5 Days Later . . .

Well, better late than never. Actually, I've pretty much abandoned this blog because (a) my life is too pitiful to post about and (b) MySpace has pretty much become my default site to keep up with friends and share tidbits about my world. So . . . if there's anybody out there that has been crazy enough to keep a watch on my blog here, you can go to My MySpace Page and find me there.

A Month Later . . .

Yes, an entire month has passed since my last post. My bad. Been kinda busy. I've moved from Louanne's house in Powder Springs up to an apartment in Rome. The apartment building was built in the 30's, has all hardwood floors, glass door knobs, etc., way cool! And the best part, it's A 4 MINUTE WALK to my job! I get to walk home at lunch and Brewster's lovin' it. Naturally, being the pack-rat that I am, I will spend the next 3-6 months trying to unpack and get settled in.

In other news, because of the move, I currently have no TV or internet access at the new pad, so until that gets taken care of, my postings will be few and far between. You can, however, keep up with that adorable Grandson of mine by visiting The Boles Family Blog. Danny has recently posted a video of Drew chasing him around the house, and a slide show of some recent photos. Check it out!

Two weeks from today, I will be in the hometown, attending my 30 Year High School Reunion. Yes, I am as old as dirt.

That's it for now . . .

YEEEEEE-HAWW, JESTER'S DEAD!

OK, so I did borrow a quote from my favorite movie Top Gun, and I did get the idea from my nephew's blog, but what else could be said that is more appropriate? Click here or on the photo to the right to read and/or view all about it.

"Today, Zarqawi has been terminated."
- Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki

"Now Zarqawi has met his end and this violent man will never murder again." - President Bush
